    ● The people of the North Cliff, overlooking the vast unexplored seas.
    ● They gaze upon the Seas of Sorrow.
    ● They love to tell stories of brave souls who have ventured into the Seas of Sorrow in search of new lands.
    ● At the end of each year, people are given their “true path to life” in the “Solstice Ceremony.”
    ● These people are split into three types: the fishermen, who capture food and live by the cliff; the constructors, who live atop the cliff and build the boats and technology used by Kappla; and the explorers, whose job is to seek new lands and bring back never-before-seen objects from the new world.
    ● They have built floating houses and boathouses down the hill, along with an elevator system to lift people up. When the day is done, they lift their boats, which become part of their homes. You have to see it someday.
    ● They trade with the people of Lyng—fish for grain—and also sell their constructors’ labor to help build and maintain windmills, watermills, and the dam.
    ● When the bell rings, it’s time for work. The fishermen’s living rooms are dropped into the ocean and instantly converted into boats. The constructors are transported to the underground workshop.
    ● The explorers may be gone for several months, but those who return with the best objects are hailed as legends for eternity.
    ● They work only four days a week. Two other days are spent retelling stories, and the last day is a feast dedicated to the explorers and the hard work accomplished that week.
